A semi-trailer is a trailer that is towed by a tractor unit, with its weight and load primarily supported by the trailer itself. They are widely used in logistics, transportation, and construction. Based on their purpose and structure, semi-trailers can be divided into several types. Common types of semi-trailers include:

Skeletal container semi-trailer: Designed specifically for transporting containers, with a simple structure and light weight, suitable for combined sea and land transport.

Flatbed semi-trailer: Flatbed structure, suitable for transporting large machinery, steel, and other heavy goods.

Low-bed semi-trailer: With a low chassis, suitable for transporting oversized or overweight cargo, such as construction machinery.

Stake-side semi-trailer: Equipped with a stake-side structure, suitable for transporting bulk goods such as agricultural products and building materials.

Tanker semi-trailer: Used for transporting liquids or gases, such as oil tankers and chemical tankers.

Dump semi-trailer: Equipped with a self-unloading function, suitable for transporting bulk goods such as sand, gravel, and coal.

Refrigerated semi-trailer: Equipped with refrigeration equipment, used for transporting goods that require low-temperature storage, such as food and pharmaceuticals.

Each type of semi-trailer has its specific application scenarios and advantages.
